Love>Hate Event: Underwear Drive Success
At the Love>Hate event on Saturday, September 22, 2012 over 100 packages of underwear were collected for the Waukesha Hope Center. Dana Riesterer, Manager of Operations at the Hope Center, was at Love>Hate representing the Waukesha homelessness prevention center, said that underwear and socks are necessities that most people take for granted but which are needed greatly be the Hope Center and other clothing and aid distribution centers. Dana Riesterer wrote to Sam and Sydney Gilbert, the two teenage planners of Love>Hate, after the event to say:
I wanted to thank you for the Love>Hate event and all who were involved. We need more young people in the world who have the compassion for others that you do. The underwear went to so many people who needed it and it is all already gone! Keep up the great work and always remember to be the change you want to see in the world.
