Greater Milwaukee CROP Hunger Walk

Organized by the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee
Come with friends, family, a congregation or group
Bring a donation of nonperishable food for the Hunger Task Force
Gather at the McKinley Park Pavilion on Milwaukee’s lakefront
just south of McKinley Marina
Registration is free and begins: 12:30 p.m.
2-mile and 5-mile walks begin: 1:30 p.m.

If you choose to do so, there is still time to collect monetary pledges/donations before the walk and later in the fall for international/local hunger relief, disaster relief, economic development . Call (414) 276-9050 for materials & details.
This year’s walk is being organized and directed by Norma Duckworth, an immigrant who experienced hunger as a young girl in Mexico. “I remember vividly,” said Duckworth. “There was no bread or milk to feed us. We often went to bed hungry. People are not aware of the issues in other countries, how difficult it is…And here in Milwaukee, there’s hunger, poverty.”
