Attention rostered leaders, synod council and synod committee members! We have officially launched our brand new, online photo directory. Below you can learn step-by-step instructions on how to view, log in, edit and print the directory.
Viewing the Directory
Using a web browser, you may view the Online Directory at
You may also use this shorter URL: bit.ly/gmsdirectory
(This is a shortcut and will take you to the same place)
The above link will bring you to a screen asking you for a “Privacy Key” to view the directory.
(For the privacy key, please contact Phil Smith at the synod offices – 414.671.1212)
After you have entered the Privacy Key, click “Go”.
Logging in to Edit the Directory
All rostered leaders, synod council and synod committee members will get (or create) a unique username and password for the directory. With this username and password, you will be able to edit your profile information.
To log in with your unique username, visit the above link like normal. Instead of entering the privacy key, click on “Click here to Log In with your username and password.” To access your username, call Mary Romskog at the Synod Office – 414-671-1212.
After you have entered your username and password, click “Go”.
Editing your Profile in the Directory
After logging in, you will see the directory. To edit your profile, click on the tab in the upper left-hand corner that says “My Profile”.
This will bring up your profile information screen. Here you can edit any of the information on the right, such as your name, phone number and email address.
You can also change your password here. To change your password, type a new password of your choosing into the blank “Password” field. To keep your existing password, leave this area blank.
After you have edited the sections to your liking, make sure to press the grey “Update” button at the bottom of the screen.
To change your photo, hover your cursor over the blue “Edit Photo” button under your existing profile photo. Three options will drop down below.
Clicking on “Edit Thumbnail” will allow you to adjust the cropping on your current photo. (For example, if your photo looks stretched or squashed, editing the thumbnail can easily fix this.)
Clicking on “Upload New Photo” will allow you to choose a photo from your computer to upload. Once you upload the photo, you will have the opportunity to crop your photo before saving.
Clicking on “Remove Photo” will remove your current photo and replace it with a default “no photo” image.
Printing the Directory
If you wish, there is also the option to print out the online directory for personal use. This way you can have it at hand instead of logging online each time.
You have the option to either “Print Selected” and choose a member you would like to print, or “Print All” and print the entire directory. Simply click one of these buttons (found in the upper right-hand corner) and follow the printing instructions.
