Luther Manor is looking for an Interim Director of Pastoral Care!

The Interim Director of Pastoral Care will provide leadership and chaplaincy to Luther Manor’s pastoral ministry embodying grace, love and hope to our residents, families, staff and faith community.

WHY BE THE INTERIM DIRECTOR OF PASTORAL CARE AT LUTHER MANOR?

The Interim Director of Pastoral Care position at Luther Manor is a high touch servant leader position responsible for the vision, programming and direction of the faith community which is the heart of Luther Manor’s mission of sharing God’s love by enriching the lives of older adults. The Director will serve as spiritual and emotional leader for residents, families and staff including: word and sacrament ministry of the church, leading worship and communion opportunities, Bible Study, education, counseling, and/or pastoral visits. The Director provides guidance, mentorship and daily oversight to the chaplain staff at Luther Manor.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR?

1. Must have a MDiv or equivalent degree, ordination by ELCA, and be a member in good standing on the clergy roster of the ELCA.
2. Experience in pastoral ministry and Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent continuing education.
3. Endorsement or eligibility for ELCA’s Specialized Ministries and Association of Professional Chaplains is preferred.
4. Ability to interact in emotionally charged situations with families, visitors, co-workers and others.
5. Possesses a willingness to be on call at any time.
