The Greater Milwaukee Synod supports many partner programs in the Diocese of Meru, Tanzania. The Professional Education Fund provides college fees for seminary students and some students studying to be teachers. For the past 5 years nearly 40 students have received their degrees courtesy of this fund. We have an annual goal of $20,000 to continue this support.

Pastor John Abraham Mbise, the Chaplain at Kikatiti Secondary School, has benefited from the Professional Education Fund. He shares these words of gratitude, “In the early years of my life I was planning to become an engineer. However, God had a better plan, the plan to make me a ‘spiritual engineer’!… The verse from Proverbs 19:21 ‘Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will be established’ reminded me of the fact that it is God who has the final word in our life plans! This marked the beginning of my life journey as a pastor!… I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the support you gave that enabled me to pursue my theological studies at Tumaini University-Makumira. You are serving as God’s hand on earth and please don’t get tired! Your funds are helping in advancing and establishing God’s Kingdom here on earth! God will never forget your labor in this!”

“And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart” (Galatians 6:9)
