Position: Office Assistant

Schedule: 12 hrs weekly, M-Th

Start Date: April 30, 2019

 

Abiding Savior Lutheran Church is accepting candidates for the position of Office Assistant. Our Office Assistant is a critical member of our congregational ministry, serving as a primary communicator with members and ministry partners as well as providing support for weekly worship and programming.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet all guests and members

  • Complete general office tasks, such as mail sorting, answering phones, maintaining emails, etc.

  • Ability to work independently as well as contributing to a team effort

  • Generate weekly Sunday worship materials (announcement sheets, calendar, prayer sheet, PowerPoint)

  • Maintain membership roles (computer program as well as through phone calls)

  • Prepare written communications, maintain new contacts, and appropriate databases

  • Record and maintain worship attendance records

  • Create bimonthly newsletter

  • Assist Pastor, members, and other staff with any additional tasks

  • Update digital sign as needed

Requirements

  • High level of organization

  • All Microsoft platforms including Publisher

  • Strong computer skills

  • Willingness to learn new programs

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and experience working with a variety of people groups

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
