What is diakonia?  A two-year faith formation and theological education program that provides:

  • Theological grounding
  • Skills and aptitudes for ministry
  • Spiritual growth through a community of students and instructors
  • Instructors are local pastors

Greater Milwaukee Synod Diakonia Locations 2019-2020

2019-2020 Courses will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran in Kenosha, Monday evenings from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Series A courses will be offered this year:

  • Intro to the New Testament — Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30 Oct. 7
  • Early Church History — Oct 21, 28, Nov. 4, 11, 18
  • Biblical Images — Dec. 2, 9, 16, Jan 6, 13
  • Creeds and Confessions — Jan 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24
  • Practical Ministry: Visitation — March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
  • Daily Life of a Christian — April 19, 27, May 4, 11, 18

Cost: $25 non-refundable registration Fee for new students due with application

Tuition is $60/course

Books average cost is $25-$35/course
