Please note: Grants for Rostered Ministers and Candidates: Grants for up to $2,000 are available for rostered ministers and candidates for rostered ministry who are BIPOC and/or members of the LGBTQIA+ community to use for continuing education, student loan repayment, or additional retirement contributions. Please note that funds sent directly to you may incur a tax liability.

Grants of up to $1,000 are available for rostered ministers to use for continuing education, student loan repayment, or additional retirement contributions. Please note that funds sent directly to you may incur a tax liability.

Funds will be sent directly to you, and you can request that an equivalent amount be deducted from your next paycheck and sent directly to Portico, thus avoiding any tax liability. You will receive a 1099 form at the end of the year and will need to report the grant as income.

Funds will be sent directly to your congregation who will forward funds to Portico with an explanation of payment form (available online at portico benefits.org.)

This is only available for Rostered Ministers with Portico Benefits.

Important Information about W9 Forms

Because you selected to have funds sent directly to you, you must complete and submit a W9 form before we can disburse any funds. A new W9 is required each tax year. You can use this form and email it to Mary Romskog. Please submit your W9 after you submit this form.
