Navigating Boundaries for Healthy Leadership is a collaborative learning event for Rostered Ministers. During the course of the day, together we will explore why healthy boundaries are important in ministry, reflect on the guiding principles involved in healthy boundaries, and apply these principles to different aspects of ministry like: starting strong/leaving well, financial management, power and decision-making, role clarity, using social media, and self care.
Led by Bishop Erickson and Assistant to the Bishop, Jennifer Arnold, participants will learn from and teach one another through dialogue and small group work. The emphasis is away from avoiding bad behavior and toward helping leaders lead in ways that buildup the community, increase safety for all who are vulnerable, and increase role clarity to minimize frustration, anxiety, and burnout.
Registration is limited to 40 participants. Once you have registered, please be considerate of others and contact the Synod office by Friday, September 13th, if you find yourself unable to attend . There is no cost for the event and lunch is provided.
Registration will open and coffee will be available at 8:30 am; the event starts promptly at 9:00 am, and should conclude by 3:00 pm.
REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT NOON on Friday, September 13th.
Please note: the next boundary workshop will take place in approximately six months. We expect all Rostered Ministers to participate in a training like this at least once every three years.
