“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” – THE REVEREND DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
You are invited to join us for our twenty-fifth or twenty-sixth (we’ve lost count) annual event, celebrating the life, work, and vision of THE REVEREND DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
The day begins with a pancake breakfast, continues with workshops and activities for all ages, includes lunch, and opportunities to explore the work we are called to in our time, to live into the unfinished work of this great human being.
Workshops will be offered by Public Allies, Planned Parenthood, Milwaukee Cooperative Extension, Pan African Community Association, Urban Underground, and others.
This event is free and open to the community!
We are also seeking financial donations to help cover the cost of food. We normally serve about 80 people for breakfast, 200-250 for lunch. Contact Venice Williams at (414) 687-0122 if you are able to help out.
