Holy Currencies is NOT “another program.” It IS a lens that reveals new life in existing ministries. Transformation occurs as we remove the lens of scarcity to see the abundance of resources given by God. As God’s resources flow and recirculate, a Cycle of Blessings forms which empowers congregations to build internal relationships, as well as to reach out and connect with the community.
This immersive training is based on the holistic model for congregational vitality presented in the book Holy Currencies: Six Blessings for Sustainable Missional Ministries by Eric H. F. Law. Rev. Law, founder of the Kaleidoscope Institute (KI,) was the keynote speaker at the 2014 Fall Theological Conference. Kaleidoscope Institute associates Lucky Lynch and LeRoy Chambliss will lead the five-day training. (For more information on the Kaleidoscope Institute, please visit: http://www.kscopeinstitute.org/)
This training is partially subsidized by the Greater Milwaukee Synod, and brought to you by the congregations of Kingo, Ascension and Our Savior’s – congregations whose missions have been re-energized by KI teachings, and who want to share that experience with all the Church.
Attendance at all five days with a team of 2+ is recommended, though attendance at first three days/two nights is also an option. Registration preference is given to participants in the full five-day training workshop.
Please plan to read Rev. Law’s book Holy Currencies: Six Blessings for Sustainable Missional Ministries prior to the training. The book can be ordered through your local bookstore, or found online at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other sites. The publisher’s website is: http://www.chalicepress.com/
