Rick Steves, a leading authority on European travel, has made a one-hour public television special entitled, Luther and the Reformation. This special, commemorating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, will be aired on PBS in January, 2017. And in support of Always Being Made New: The Campaign for the ELCA, Steves is sharing advance copies with members of the campaign steering committee and development councils to share with ELCA congregations.
A member of the ELCA World Hunger Development Council from Mount Olive Lutheran Church would like to share this bounty of Lutheran gold with the congregations of the Greater Milwaukee Synod. Our congregation invites you to an advance screening on Thursday November 17, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 211 Main Street, Mukwonago. Every congregation in attendance will receive a copy of the DVD on that day or they will be delivered as soon as we receive them.
The schedule for the day: the screening of the DVD, a short historical and theological analysis of Steves’ presentation led by the Rev. Dr. Steven Kuhl, followed by a light lunch.
Though this event is free, because space is limited, congregations wishing to attend are limited to 2 people and must RSVP no later than Sunday, November 13. It’s a first come sort of thing. Registration required. Limit 2 people per congregation.
