Retreat of Renewal: Race and Forgiveness & Reconciliation

In this overnight retreat, participants will explore their personal journey of discovery as it pertains to racial identity. Participants will learn phases of forgiveness and how forgiveness as a tool can impact understanding of others and relieve conflict in cultural situations. Featured trainers are: Angelique Robinson, Forgiveness Institute and Martha Barry, Racial Justice Director, YWCA.

Although the first session begins at 1pm on Monday, participants are encouraged to arrive earlier to check into their room and become familiar with the space.

Cedar Valley’s “100 comforting acres of carefree hospitality” provide the ideal setting for nurturing your creativity, Private, spacious and splendid … you’ll find what you need for relaxation with full spa services available.  Meals and room included in the cost.  If in need of single room, contact event host.

Cedar Valley is located 35 miles north of Milwaukee and nine miles west of West Bend. Take Highway 45, take exit #73 at Highway D, and it’s just six miles west on your left. On Highway 41, take exit #76 east at Highway D and travel three miles ahead on your right.
