Community Painting Day
On Saturday, March 7, we will host a community painting day from 1 – 5pm at Ascension Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, 1236 S. Layton Blvd. You can join us anytime between 1 and 5pm for whatever length of time works for you. You don’t need any art experience and this event is open to all ages! This painting is done in “paint-by-number” style and is the first step in bringing the mural to life. While you don’t need to sign up for community painting, we do have a registration form simply to help us track and communicate with participants that you may fill in if you’d like.
We also have a need for a small group of volunteers to assist between Wednesday, March 4 and Saturday morning, March 7 to help move, sand, and prime panels. If you’re interested in helping with this work, please fill in the registration form linked above and note your ability to assist. We’ll share your contact information directly with Tia and she will reach out to you with times and dates for this work.
This collaborative project will offer an opportunity for people from all across the Greater Milwaukee Synod to contribute to the mural creation. We hope you’ll join us!
