Equipping the Saints Annual Fund

Launched in 2021, the Greater Milwaukee Synod’s Equipping the Saints Mission Appeal raised more than $1.3 million to strengthen our shared ministry through innovation, collaboration, and leadership. These generous gifts have already made a lasting difference in the lives of rostered ministers, lay leaders, and congregations—both within our synod and across the globe.

As we look ahead, we recognize that several initiatives funded by the Equipping the Saints appeal will need continued support to grow and thrive. These include the Authentic Diversity Initiative, Outreach for Hope, and Lutheran Campus Ministry. We are now launching the Equipping the Saints Annual Fund, hoping to raise $100,000 per year as we grow and expand our work.

I invite you to read the stories that follow and prayerfully consider how you can join me by making a gift to sustain this important work. Your gift—whether directed to one or more of these ministries, or offered without designation to be shared equally among them—will continue the spirit of innovation and partnership that has defined this synod for generations.

Together, we are equipping the saints for the work of ministry and building communities of justice, love, and mercy in Christ’s name.

We follow Jesus, building

communities of

justice, love, and mercy.

Greater Milwaukee Synod Authentic Diversity Initiative

“The resources and approaches I have learned through our synod’s authentic diversity work have made an impact in my congregation, and in my family relationships. They have empowered me to have open and deep conversations with family and friends who believe different things than I do.”

Lutheran Campus Ministry

“When I walked through the doors of The Corner House for my first Monday night Bible Study, I knew I had found my church. The Corner House has given me a safe space to openly explore what faith looks like to me.”
