Support for Rostered Ministers

Rostered ministry is both exciting and challenging. Many leaders have found support to be a valuable resource as they grow into their call and navigate the complex realities of congregational and community life.

To support innovation and leadership across our Synod, funds from the Equipping the Saints Mission Appeal have been allocated to provide support for active rostered ministers. We are grateful for your leadership and look forward to walking with you in this season of ministry!

Options for Support
Coaching

Coaching provides a trusted space to process, reflect, and discern. It can help you strengthen your leadership, nurture resilience and sustain your call as you grow into the ministry to which you have been called. Learn more about our coaching program and coaches here.

Reimbursement can be requested for sessions with a licensed counselor or therapist. If you need assistance in finding a licensed therapist we have listed a few options below. You are also welcome to contact the synod office for more information.

Eligibility

All rostered ministers in the Greater Milwaukee Synod  are eligible for up to $1,000 total in reimbursement for coaching, counseling, spiritual direction, or sabbatical support.

If you are a rostered minister in the Greater Milwaukee Synod and have been ordained less than five years, you are eligible for up to $1,200 total in reimbursement for coaching, counseling, or spiritual direction support.

Requesting Reimbursement

Coaching, Counseling, or Spiritual Direction

  1. Pay your fee up front for coaching, counseling, or spiritual direction support.

  2. Complete the reimbursement request form available here.

  3. Attach a copy of your invoice or receipt.

  4. Email your reimbursement request with documentation to becky.erbstrang@gmselca.org and copy finance@gmselca.org
